Privacy Policy

Which data stays where, and what goes to the server.

Version of October 2, 2026

01

What stays on the user’s computer

  • All clips, the library, tags, albums, and settings.
  • Voice recognition (“Rewind”) runs on the user’s computer: the language models are stored alongside the app.
  • The recording log, if enabled.
  • The recording buffer (the last minutes of gameplay) is kept in memory or on the disk specified in settings.
02

What goes to the server and when

  • Clip that have been shared: the file is uploaded to the service server so it can be opened by link. The link stays active for a limited time (currently 7 days), after which the clip is deleted. You choose who can see the clip and who can comment.
  • Profile: only what the user has set themselves (nickname, avatar, banner, games, goal, own text).
  • Follows, likes, and comments left by the user.
  • Reports and blocks: to make these work, the service stores who was reported or blocked, and by whom.
03

Sign in with other services

  • Discord: shares only the name and picture with the app.
  • Google Drive: Rewind can access only the files it creates itself. Everything else on the user’s Drive is invisible to it. Sign-in is needed only if the user has turned on uploading to Drive.
04

What we don’t do

  • We do not show ads in the app.
  • We do not send a clip to the server until the user shares it.
05

Retention periods

Clip links: 7 days. Profile and comments: until the user deletes the account. An account and its data can be deleted on request to support.

06
